Time is widely regarded as one of the most valuable resources that each of us possesses. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, but the most important thing is how you choose to use those hours. I’m guilty of wasting time every day, along with a lot of other people, and we don’t even realize it.

Wasting your time can leave you feeling worn out and stressed, and it can also prevent you from achieving the goals you have set for yourself. You might be able to reclaim a few hours of your day if you are able to use a few strategies that will save you time. And in what direction will that take you?

I put a lot of stock in my daily to-do list. It is written down on paper because I enjoy being able to check things off the list once I have completed them. You can even keep one on your phone, if that makes things more convenient for you.

It is useful for keeping track of what tasks you have to complete each day, week, month, or trimester. I am going to put a reminder on my phone for some things that are extremely important to me and that I must not forget. I keep track of my schedule via Google Calendar, an online calendar. Write everything down in your actual planner if you find that this is the most effective method for you.

Keeping a list of things you need to do will not only help you stay on top of your tasks, but it will also keep you motivated to do the things you have set out to do. In addition to this, it is more difficult to forget things. What a victory indeed!

Going to the grocery store is one of the many things on the list. You can consider using an online grocery pick-up or delivery service if you have a very full schedule and are looking for more ways to save time. In the same vein as your food, you have the option of signing up for a monthly plan in which you will receive a variety of dinner selections each week, in addition to a lunch meal, a breakfast meal, a dessert, and any other meal, which may be a beverage or a snack. This not only saves you time shopping for goods, but it also saves you time preparing food!

Avoid watching at the television

When I was a senior in high school, I often spent at least two hours in front of the television. My entire lifestyle has been turned upside down, and as of right now, I don’t even possess a television.

The typical weekly viewing time for an individual is five hours. This indicates that people watch television for an average of more than 30 hours each week on average. I truly pray that my name was not included on that list, but the truth is that I was probably much closer than I realized.

Can you even begin to fathom what might take place if you simply reclaimed half of the hours lost each week? That would be a wonderful method to economize some of your precious time!

Scrolling through one’s many social media accounts can easily keep one entertained for the entirety of a 24-hour period.

Stop Multitasking

This is absolutely necessary if you want to reduce the amount of time wasted during the day. Throughout the day, each of us receives a large number of requests, all of which require time. If you yes-answer to a significant number of these requests, you are, in essence, volunteering some of your time to assist another person. Check in with yourself and ask if that is what you want, and if that’s true, then there’s no problem with it. If this is not what you desire, you are asking for a significant amount of additional work from yourself.

Instead, you should practice saying no. Because you are not used to it, it will initially seem awkward. This is due to the fact that you are not accustomed to it. You will eventually acquire the ability to refuse offers, which will liberate a significant amount of your time.


It is an incredibly important resource due to the fact that time that has been squandered cannot be regained at any point in the future. However, you can get started by removing things from your life that are a waste of the time you have available to you.
