NASA recognizes the importance of empowering women and intends to continue to inspire generations of women in the years to come in light of the recent accomplishments and strides that women have made in fields such as program management, research, and mission integration during the past few decades.
Regarding the field of engineering, what sorts of engineers does NASA seek to employ? – The following is a list that comes to me off the top of my head; nevertheless, it is highly unlikely that it is possible to name all of them without excluding any of them. - A minimum of one thousand hours of pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft or three years of professional experience linked to the position that progressively increases in responsibility;
- An advanced degree is preferred, and it is possible to make up for a lack of experience in the following ways: A master’s degree is equivalent to one year of experience, and a doctoral degree is equivalent to three years of experience;
- Because previous experience in the classroom, including teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, is considered to be qualifying experience for the Astronaut Candidate post, educators are strongly urged to submit their applications;

If you truly want to go somewhere where no one has ever gone before, the best way to do so is to travel with the robots. They really start with exploration initially.
Passion and intellectual curiosity are two of the most important qualities that NASA looks for in an excellent engineer candidate. Other important qualities are the ability to collaborate with others and the willingness to pay attention to what others have to say. Being curious and creative, as well as having fun with group projects and making things, may already be engrained in women; however, they may not yet be aware of this fact.
